As you perform actions on the website your computer is telling the application which username you are using.
There are some simple steps that go along with using this application to play a live video stream. The first step is to go to the “Live” tab on the left hand side of your Live account. You will then see an option for “Add URL.” Click “ADD URL,” and paste the video stream URL. Save that as a new Live ID.
Now all you have to do is find that particular video and click on the “Play” button. Once you click this button, the application will then begin to play that video. The “Play” button is typically located at the very bottom right hand corner of your screen. There is also a small play icon with a red background. These icons will guide you as you move around your Live area.
If you are using a Mac OS X machine, the application works on the command line too. Simply type in the host’s URL and pass it as a command line arg. You’ll then be able to connect to the host and use the features of the application.
I tested this application out on a Windows machine. It works great, and it allows you to play any video stream that you might have available either on YouTube or on another live video site. It even works with Camtasia, although you will need to have the software on your PC for that to work. This application truly provides a convenient way for you to stream live video to your device.
In addition, this application works great if you happen to want to stream live video to another device such as your mobile phone. It doesn’t matter whether you’re on the go or you have to make a flight home, with this application you can still catch up with your favorite clips. On the iPhone, this application is great for watching live videos while you’re out on the run. It’s not every day that you get to enjoy the rush of your favorite sports events without having to worry about missing an extended football game!
